    Hi there,
I’ve been struggling to enable promiscuous mode on the espressobin’s ethernet switch, using lan0 and lan1 as a MITM bridge (functioning). While the promisc commands pass successfully, I can only see broadcasts and unicast traffic intended for the device.

Tested with 4.4.8, 4.4.52 and mainline kernels in openwrt and ubuntu.

Is this a driver issue, and if so how to report it?

    Many thanks in advance.

I have been having the same issue. I can’t seem to get any promiscuous capture from lan0,lan1, br0 or wan interfaces.

Really wish this had just 3 standard NICs instead of the switch.

Having ethernet interface in promiscuous mode is only a part of what original poster wants.

The other part that is needed is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Port_mirroring
