    I got a mini PCI-E SATA controller with a JMicron JM582 chipset.
    Dmesg and lspci show the card alright, but I don’t see the disk attached with fdisk.
    Am I missing something?

    Bump.
    I checked and the PCIe slot is 1 lane, and so is my SATA controller. Interrupting the boot process, I can’t even see the disk in the bootloader. Maybe there’s a misunderstanding of what is supported, and what isn’t.
