Hi,

I have three EBs. The second EB has failed. It lights up just like the other 2, but doesn’t even show as a USB device.

I tried Recovery from URAT:

But, the EB still does not show as a USB device.

Are there any other recovery options?

SOLVED:

My Cisco SG300-28PP PoE+ switch features Energy Efficient Ethernet.

GE ports have EEE enabled by default. I turned EEE off on the port to the EB and the link hasn’t dropped.

I bought the protection plan on my THIRD EB.

I already replaced the EB with an Odroid XU4 and the link doesn’t drop.

And, this defeats the purpose, because I’m using the EB as ONLY a switch due to it’s 1W heat output. I have a limited power and heat budget for my project.

Stats are available with ethtool. Anyone know which ones to look at to see what’s happening?

Yes, it looks just like the other two EBs I have when I apply power via the DC jack.

Hi Bryan,

I bought it on Amazon. I did not add a protection plan and the Amazon return period has long expired.

I (now) have three EBs! I DID buy the protection plan for the third one!

This one doesn’t even show up as a USB device, so I guess it’s dead.

Is there a recovery process?

Also, I have an issue with the “production” EB I have deployed. It was months after I bought it for a stable kernel, but it works great now; except the Ethernet connection drops several times per day. This is a separate issue. Can you help or should I go to the forum?
